A very lightweight way to coordinate scarce resources is to use your wiki as a virtual signup sheet.  Don't forget to remind folks to delete their requests once the meeting or event is done.  Fining folks $1 for every leftover entry generally does the trick!

Remember, you can create your own customized version of any PBwiki template simply by tagging that page with the keyword "template".  From then on, any user of your wiki will be able to use your page template.
